COVID-19 & YOUR PETS
|
|
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses. Some coronaviruses cause cold-like illnesses in people, while others cause illness in certain types of animals, such as cattle, camels, and bats. Some coronaviruses, such as canine and feline coronaviruses, only infect animals and do not infect humans. These coronaviruses have been around a long time. The coronavirus responsible for the pandemic is new and different than canine and feline coronaviruses. At this time, we do not have evidence that companion animals, including pets, can spread COVID-19. As this is a fluid situation, we wanted to give you resources for UP TO DATE and ACCURATE information regarding your pets and COVID-19.
